Professional Biography
After gaining his Anaesthesia Fellowship in Queensland, Dr Dhlakama completed a 2-year Fellowship program in Cardiac Anaesthesia, Cardiovascular ICU, Transesophageal echocardiography, and Advanced Clinical practice at the University of Toronto. Upon his return to Australia he completed Cardiac perfusion training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He is currently appointed as a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist for Sunshine Coast University Public and Private Hospitals, where he works mostly in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia.
Dr Dhlakama is passionate about cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and is helping the specialties grow on the sunshine Coast.
